SunCoke Energy Expects Lower Domestic Coke Production In Q2

(RTTNews) - Coke producer SunCoke Energy Inc. (SXC) said Monday that consolidated domestic coke production for second quarter 2013 is estimated to be 1,081 thousand tons, down slightly from 1,095 thousand tons last year.

The year-over-year change reflects lower production at the company's Indiana Harbor cokemaking facility, which is undergoing a refurbishment, partly offset by higher production at its Haverhill and Middletown facilities.

Domestic capacity utilization in the second quarter is estimated to be 102 percent, down two percentage points from the prior year, the company said.
