Students for Fair Admissions to Announce a New Lawsuit

Formed in 2014, Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) is a nonprofit membership organization with over 21,000 members. The mission of SFFA is to support and participate in litigation that will restore the original principles of our nation's civil rights laws: A student's race and ethnicity should not be factors that either harm or help that student gain admission to a competitive university.

SFFA is the plaintiff in two ongoing lawsuits: Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvardand Students for Fair Admissions v. University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Both lawsuits allege Harvard and UNC use racial quotas and balancing policies that are forbidden by the U.S. Constitution and our nation's civil rights statutes.
