The company has been a leader in split-path, distributed architectures for the past five years, introducing the first distributed virtualization product in 2000. Now, with industry-wide adoption of SPAID hardware platforms, StoreAge is offering the first and only SPAID-optimized storage services software application to take advantage of the emerging SPAID hardware products.
    SPAID architectures are used to create intelligent, network-based SAN storage management and data protection solutions. The Split-Path architecture separates the I/O path from the management path to provide higher performance and greater scalability of the solution. It is analogous to the use of multiple CPUs in servers to create multiple processing paths.
