Stoneridge Offers 24/7 Technical Support for EZ-ELD in Time for April 1 ELD Enforcement

LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In order to better serve its customers, Stoneridge, Inc. announced today at the 2018 Mid America Trucking Show (MATS) the launch of 24/7 technical support for Stoneridge EZ-ELD®. 

Through increased service hours and support staff, company product experts are readily available to support drivers and fleet managers with the installation, use, and navigation of the EZ-ELD device and accompanying smartphone app. By increasing support to 24/7 availability, Stoneridge offers support to drivers who may require assistance outside of traditional business hours.

The ELD mandate, affecting more than three million commercial vehicle drivers, is intended to help create a safer work environment for drivers and increase efficiency in tracking hours of service (HOS) data. Starting April 1, full enforcement of the rule will be in effect, requiring all drivers to have their vehicle equipped with an ELD. Drivers who do not comply by this deadline are at risk of being assigned Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) points and issued out-of-service citations upon a roadside inspection.
