Steiner Ranch Elementary Students Develop First All Axis Rotation Virtual Reality Simulator
AUSTIN, Texas, May 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In March 2017, a team of Steiner Ranch Elementary students and siblings – Adelle, Sophia, Arthur and Tim Tupushev – came up with an idea for a Virtual Reality simulator that would allow gamers to enjoy all axis rotation. This rotation simulates a close-to-reality ride on a roller coaster, plane, or spacecraft. The project has finally come to fruition, and the first model is launching for play at Austin's Park n' Pizza.
After an unsuccessful attempt to find Austin-area investors and production companies for their project, the students decided to work with a production facility in China who specializes in manufacturing commercial arcade machines. In August 2018, the first prototype model was released.
Steiner Ranch Elementary focuses heavily on STEM programs, with obviously proven results. The parents of this bright group of students attribute this focus, along with the school's Principal and teachers, with the success of this project and their children's enthusiasm for completing it.
Austin's Park n' Pizza, a local family entertainment center, is proud to be the first amusement facility in the country to feature this new Virtual Reality simulator. Owner and operator, Michael Goss, says "It is just amazing that local kids had this idea and were able to see it through to development. We're so happy to be the first to debut this Virtual Reality simulator at Austin's Park n' Pizza."
Austin's Park n' Pizza features a huge indoor arcade and amusement area, as well as acres of rides, Go-Kart tracks and mini-golf, located at 16231 North IH-35 in Pflugerville, Texas, just north of Austin.
