Starbreeze AB : Starbreeze completes Valhalla acquisition

Starbreeze AB, a Swedish independent creator, publisher and distributor of high quality entertainment products, today announced its completion of the Valhalla acquisition, a next generation game engine under development with its related technology and tools, by issuing 1.665 million A-shares and 3.33 million B-shares.

Starbreeze announced the acquisition May 28, 2015 and an extra general meeting approved it on June 12, 2015. The new shares have now been subscribed for by Valhalla IP Lux S.a r.l, and will indirectly be held by Mr Emmanuel Marquez (5/6), a key employee of Starbreeze, and Mr Remi Arnaud (1/6), a regular consultant to Starbreeze.

The shares issued represent approximately 2.2% of shares and 0.4% of votes. After the issue, the total number of A-shares and B-shares in Starbreeze is 74 057 662 and 155,215,914 respectively.

Valhalla represents the next generation with a true browser based AAA game engine. Valhalla's graphic cloud engine will revolutionize the art pipeline by providing an integrated development environment for rapid and creative game development across multiple studios and teams. Valhalla supports not only 3D but is fully virtual reality (VR) ready, and proofed on several headsets currently on the market. Starbreeze intends to use the Valhalla engine in OVERKILL's The Walking Dead and Storm, as well as in other future games and applications.
