Today, there are more than 200,000 Spirent field testers deployed worldwide to handle field installation and maintenance requirements of telecommunications networks.
    Spirent's E-Series testers support the increasing demands made on today's local-loop infrastructure, including faster deployment of new broadband services to more users through pre-service validation testing. The E-Series Time Domain Reflectometers (TDR) and Resistance Fault Locators (RFL) help locate and analyze line faults such as opens, shorts, intermittent and water ingress faults, and resistive faults such as earth or contact faults at any point in the local-loop access network, whether during construction or maintenance activities. This capability translates into improved repair time and a streamlined testing process.

--	Spirent E2570 Combined TDR/RFL Handheld Tester: A unique, battery-powered test instrument that combines the power of a voltmeter, a TDR, insulation resistance, and RFL. With this series of measurements, field technicians can quickly locate typical line faults such as opens, shorts, and poor joints and locate high-resistance insulation faults, including ground and battery contacts.
--	Spirent E2770 Advanced Handheld TDR Tester: One of the industry's longest-range handheld devices--with a range of 52,000 feet. The E2770 has a resolution of .05 percent of range for locating faults on twisted, coaxial, power and armored cables.
--	Spirent E2020 Handheld RFL Tester: A resistance fault locator that quickly and accurately finds high-resistive faults such as ground and contact faults. Field technicians can use the E2020 to perform additional measurements such as loop and insulation resistance measurements. The E2020 is ideal for locating resistive faults that are not easily identified with a TDR.
