Southeastern Career College to Hold Graduation Ceremony for 70 Students Friday Evening
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Southeastern Career College announced today it will hold a graduation ceremony Friday evening for 70 students. The commencement will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Burton Auditorium at Lipscomb University at 3901 Granny White Pike in Nashville, Tenn.
Southeastern Career College's graduating students have earned associate's degrees, diplomas and certificates qualifying them for entry-level positions that are in high demand throughout the state. According to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Statewide Industrial and Occupational Outlook 2006, medical assistant positions are expected to increase from 8,290 to 12,170 (46.8 percent) and paralegal positions are expected to increase from 4,220 to 6,090 (44.3 percent) from 2004 to 2014.
"Graduation is the culmination of many months of hard work, dedication and perseverance," said Adam Butler, Executive Director of Southeastern Career College. Darren Johnson, organization development consultant and author of Letting Go of Stuff: Powerful Secrets to Simplify Your Life, will keynote Friday's ceremony. In 2005, he served as the Interim President for the Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce.
Southeastern Career College -- Nashville is accredited by The Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (CCOE). The school currently offers five programs, including Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, General Practice Paralegal, Medical Assistant and Medical Office Specialist. On Sept. 7, 2006, the school will celebrate the one-year anniversary of its Criminal Justice program, which it began offering in July of 2005.
