SLM Corp. Earnings Retreat 44% In Q3

(RTTNews) - SLM Corp. (SLM) announced a profit for third quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its earnings came in at $41.81 million, or $0.10 per share. This was down from $74.03 million, or $0.17 per share, in last year's third quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 21.8% to $175.44 million. This was up from $144.03 million last year.
