SkyPeople Fruit Juice 2014 Profit Down - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - SkyPeople Fruit Juice Inc. (SPU), a producer of fruit juice concentrates, fruit juice beverages and other fruit-related products, reported that net income attributable to shareholders for the fiscal year 2014 was $7.9 million, a decrease of 35% from $12.2 million in fiscal 2013, while earnings per share was $0.30 for fiscal 2014 as compared to $0.46 for fiscal 2013.

Income from operations for fiscal 2014 was $17.4 million, a decrease of 4% from $18.2 million for fiscal 2013.

Revenue for the year was $99.1 million, an increase of 25%, as compared to $79.0 million for fiscal 2013. This increase was primarily due to an increase in the sales of the fruit juice beverages, concentrated apple juice and apple aroma, fresh fruits and vegetables and other product segments, which was partially offset by a decrease in sales of the concentrated kiwifruit juice and kiwi puree segment.
