Skullcandy Q1 Loss Narrows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Skullcandy, Inc. (SKUL) Thursday said first-quarter loss narrowed to $3.5 million or $0.12 per share from $7.0 million or $0.25 per share in the same period last year.

On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.17 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Sales improved 5.5 percent to $39.1 million from $37.1 million last year. Analysts expected sales of $39.23 million.

Looking ahead to the fiscal 2014, the company has raised its earnings outlook to a range of $0.16 to $0.20 per share from its previous expectation of $0.10 to $0.14 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $0.13 per share.
