Shutterfly Q3 Loss Widens

(RTTNews) - Shutterfly, Inc. (SFLY) reported a net loss for the third quarter of $46.2 million or $1.20 per share, compared to a net loss of $10.1 million or $0.27 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Net revenues for the third quarter rose 16% to $142.0 million.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $1.17 per share on revenue of $143.61 million for the third quarter.

Looking forward to the fourth quarter, the company forecasts net revenues of $466.7 million to $481.7 million and earnings of $2.35 to $2.60 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $2.54 per share on revenue of $477.98 million for the fourth quarter.

For the full year 2014, the company now forecasts net revenues of $905.0 million to $920.0 million and loss of $0.36 to $0.09 per share. Previously, the company forecast revenues of $905.0 million to $920.0 million and loss of $0.09 to $0.39 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to report a loss of $0.17 per share on revenue of $917.84 million for the full year 2014.
