Setefi Selects ACI Software to Combat Rising Card Fraud in Italy; Major Processor to Detect and Prevent Credit, Debit and Merchant Fraud via ACI Proactive Risk Manager

Setefi is a major Italian acquirer with 140,000 point of sale(POS) terminals and a major payment service providers with more thanfour million cards on its books. As credit and debit card fraudcontinue to rise in Italy, Setefi sought to address the risk to itselfand its customers with a real time, rules-based fraud prevention anddetection solution. The processor also required a complete certifiedsolution to provide issuing and acquiring merchant fraud detectionservices to Banca Intesa.

Setefi selected Proactive Risk Manager to enhance its in-housecard fraud solution. Proactive Risk Manager's ability to accuratelyidentify fraud will enable Setefi to immediately recognise fraudulentbehaviour.
