Semtech Corp Profit Advances 9% In Q1

(RTTNews) - Semtech Corp (SMTC) revealed earnings for its first quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $19.52 million, or $0.30 per share. This was higher than $17.93 million, or $0.27 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.27 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 0.8% to $131.15 million. This was up from $130.09 million last year.
