Semtech Corp Bottom Line Climbs 50% In Q1

(RTTNews) - Semtech Corp (SMTC) announced a profit for its first quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $29.34 million, or $0.44 per share. This was up from $19.52 million, or $0.30 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.41 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 9.6% to $143.80 million. This was up from $131.15 million last year.
