    TEPR 2005

MONROVIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 17, 2005--SeeBeyond (Nasdaq:SBYN), provider of the world's first fully integrated composite application network suite (SeeBeyond ICAN Suite) for advanced integration and composite application solutions, today announced that it will co-present with Hill Physicians Medical Group at the TEPR 2005 healthcare conference being held May 16-18 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, UT.
With an agenda focused on integrating electronic medical records (EMR), TEPR 2005 brings together health professionals to discuss the use, implementation, status, and purchase of technologies to improve the health care process. As physician organizations continue to struggle with the requirements and architecture necessary to implement sharing of information resources, attendees will hear from industry experts who will address the benefits of IT architectures driven by business objectives to reduce healthcare costs, while improving workflow and maintaining legal and ethical bounds.
As a part of the conference, Hill Physicians will discuss the roll out of the largest private online EMR deployment in the U.S. SeeBeyond will join Hill Physicians to address best practices in implementing a comprehensive, unified integration platform for composite application creation based on a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). Additionally, both Hill Physicians and SeeBeyond will discuss the deployment of the enterprise-wide SeeBeyond Master Patient Index that is being implemented at Hill Physicians to dramatically increase patient safety and quality of medical care by consolidating a patient's complete medical history into a "single patient view" across the continuum of care.
Hill Physicians began its evaluation of EMR systems in 2003, well before the National Health Information Infrastructure (NHII) initiative ordered by President Bush in 2004. This initiative calls for all Americans to have electronic health records within the next ten years. An important aspect of the President's initiative is the development of a nationwide interoperable health information technology infrastructure that can facilitate improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, and care coordination. The recent completion of the first two pilots of Hill Physicians' integrated EMR system deployment is an important step in meeting this national goal.
The joint presentation entitled, "Integrating EHR's Across the Enterprise," will feature Faith Knott, Manager of Software Development for Hill Physicians Medical Group, and Lindsy Strait, CTO of Healthcare for SeeBeyond, and will take place on May 17th from 10:35-11:05 a.m.
