SeaWorld Entertainment Appoints Joel Manby As CEO

(RTTNews) - SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc. (SEAS) said Thursday that it has appointed Joel Manby as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 7.

Manby, 55, will also join the company's Board of Directors.

David D'Alessandro, who has served as interim CEO, will continue to serve as the company's Chairman.

Manby most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Herschend Enterprises, the largest family-owned theme park and entertainment company in the United States. Before joining Herschend, he spent 20 years in the auto industry. From 1996-2000, Manby served as CEO of Saab Automobile USA. Prior to joining Saab, he held various roles at General Motors.
