Sealed Air To Hike Prices By 5% On Select Products - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Packaging company Sealed Air Corp.(SEE) Monday said it is increasing prices by 5 percent on select products in its Product Care division in North America. The price hike will take effect from October 1.

"Our North American price increases are in response to the continued escalation of our key raw materials and other input costs, in particular polyethylene and nylon, which all major petrochemical (PE) suppliers announced will take place September 1." said Jerome Peribere, CEO of Sealed Air, in a statement. The price hike will be applicable to product families including Bubble Wrap, brand cushioning, Cell-Aire foam and laminates, Jiffy mailers, Instapak film, Fill-Air void fill, NewAir I.B. and FillTeck inflatable cushioning materials, RapidFill automated bags and Cryovac, Opti and CorTuff shrink films.
