Science Applications Int'l Q3 Profit Down - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $22 million or $0.44 per share, down from $45 million or $0.90 per share in the same period last year.

On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.50 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues decreased to $974 million from $1.19 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of $939.93 million.

Revenues were impacted by the ramp down of the DISN Global Solutions program, reduced activity on IT and logistics programs and lower funding levels.

For the fiscal year 2014, the company currently projects earnings in the range of $2.13 to $2.33 per share, with revenues in the order of $3.85 billion to $4.1 billion. Analysts currently expect the company to report full-year revenues of $4.01 billion.
