ScanSource Inc. Reports 11% Increase In Q1 Profit

(RTTNews) - ScanSource Inc. (SCSC) reported earnings for its first quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $19.4 million, or $0.76 per share. This was higher than $17.5 million, or $0.68 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.78 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 0.9% to $924.6 million. This was down from $932.6 million last year.
