Sapient Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Sapient Corp. (SAPE) Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $26.8 million or $0.19 per share, compared to $21.0 million or $0.15 per share last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.24 per share from $0.20 per share last year. Service revenues rose to $323.8 million from $288.5 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit of $0.16 per share on revenues of 321.96 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the fourth quarter, the company expects service revenues of $320 million to $328 million. Analysts currently estimate revenues of $324.60 million for the quarter.
