S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes to the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

Alterra Power Corp. – Deletion from S&P/TSX Renewable Energy and Clean Technology Index

TORONTO, Feb. 5, 2018 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Indices Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:  

The shareholders of Alterra Power Corp. (TSX:AXY) have agreed to the terms of an Arrangement Agreement with Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (TSX:INE) whereby Alterra Power will be acquired for cash and shares. Alterra Power will be removed from the S&P/TSX Renewable Energy and Clean Technology Index prior to the open of trading on Thursday, February 8, 2018. The shares of Innergex Renewable Energy issued as part of the transaction will be added to all indices where the company is a constituent at the same time.
