Ryder Expects Record Operating Revenue And Comparable Earnings For Q4 And 2015

(RTTNews) - Ryder System, Inc. (R) said the company is increasing its full-year forecast for lease fleet growth to a range of 6,000 to 6,500 vehicles, up from a previous range of 5,000 to 6,000. The company's full-year 2015 comparable earnings per share forecast is $6.17 to $6.29.

Ryder's fourth quarter comparable earnings forecast range of $1.72 to $1.82 per share. Fourth quarter results include an expected reduction of $0.02, due to the absence of anti-dilutive share repurchases. The company expects its fourth quarter results to continue to be impacted by reduced used truck sales volumes and lower price expectations that are now consistent with prior-year pricing.

Third-quarter comparable EPS from continuing operations was up 7% to $1.74. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $1.73 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
