Ruckus Wireless Q2 Profit Rises; Issues Q3 Outlook

(RTTNews) - Ruckus Wireless, Inc. (RKUS) Wednesday reported a second-quarter net income of $1.4 million or $0.02 per share, compared to $0.7 million or $0.01 per share in the prior-year quarter.

Adjusted net income for the latest second quarter rose to $10.8 million or $0.11 per share from $5.8 million or $0.06 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Total revenues for the quarter grew 26.8% to $81.00 million from $63.87 million in the same quarter last year.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.05 per share on revenues of $79.40 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company expects adjusted earnings in the range of $0.09 to $0.11 per share and revenue of $84 million to $86 million. Analysts currently expect third quarter earnings of $0.06 per share on revenue of $85.02 million.
