Ruby Tuesday Q3 Loss Narrower Than Estimates, Revenue Misses

(RTTNews) - Restaurant operator Ruby Tuesday Inc (RT) on Thursday reported third-quarter net loss of $0.8 million or $0.01 per share compared with a loss of $7.3 million or $0.12 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were lower at $285.9 million compared with $295.6 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a loss of $0.04 per share on revenues of $286.4 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the fourth quarter, the company expects same-restaurant sales to be flat to down low single digits.

For the full year 2015, the company expects same-restaurant sales to be flat to negative 1%. Earlier it expected this metric to be between negative 1% and positive 1%.
