    BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 19, 2005--

SourcePro(R) C++ Edition 7 Incorporates Support for Linux on IBM eServer p5, i5 and OpenPower Systems

Rogue Wave Software, a division of Quovadx, Inc. (Nasdaq:QVDX) providing reusable software components and services that facilitate application development, today announced the release of its SourcePro(R) C++ Edition 7 update, which provides support for SourcePro(R) Core and SourcePro(R) DB on IBM POWER5 systems running the SUSE(R) LINUX operating system. The timely release of the SourcePro C++ Edition 7 update demonstrates Rogue Wave Software's continued dedication to rapidly responding to its customers' need for support of the latest operating systems, compilers and database releases as they become available.
Rogue Wave SourcePro C++ Edition 7, originally released on August 2, 2004, offers a comprehensive set of C++ components that work seamlessly across any supported platform, including Windows, Linux and various proprietary UNIX operating systems. With SourcePro technology, companies can quickly build and integrate agile applications that can easily be migrated from one platform to another as their business and technology needs change.

The SourcePro C++ Suite Helps Technologists and Developers to:

-- Reduce planning, development and testing workload

-- Accelerate project deployment

-- Minimize ongoing maintenance costs and resources

-- Facilitate transition between multiple platforms/databases

Enterprise-class Linux operating systems running on IBM POWER5-based servers, which include eServer(R) p5(TM), eServer i5(TM) and eServer OpenPower(TM), deliver both availability and scalability -- coupled with the level of performance that business-critical applications demand. The new SourcePro C++ update will make it easier for companies to transition from UNIX-based C++ applications to robust and efficient IBM POWER5 processor-based platforms running Linux. Rogue Wave Software, with the release of this update, will offer full support to customers implementing or migrating software applications to Linux on POWER5 servers.
In addition to the new support for Linux on POWER5, Rogue Wave SourcePro C++ currently supports IBM DB2, enabling access to data stored on DB2 for C++ applications on p5, i5 or OpenPower systems running Linux.
"Rogue Wave Software is determined to offer performance-driven products that work seamlessly across our customers' platform and operating system of choice -- enabling them to determine the best infrastructure for their application and development needs," said Thomas Gaunt, vice president of worldwide sales and strategic alliances, Rogue Wave Software. "IBM's commitment to its partners and its investment in making Linux transitions viable through its Linux on POWER products further expands the options that are available to IT organizations -- many of whom need a wide-range of choices in housing their business-critical applications. The combination of POWER5 and Linux will make for a robust and efficient solution, and Rogue Wave Software is excited to extend support to help smooth the progress of these transitions."
"We are delighted to work with solution providers like Rogue Wave Software to meet the growing technology requirements of our mutual customers," said Brian Connors, vice president, IBM Linux on POWER. "The release of SourcePro technology on POWER5 running Linux provides another avenue for customers to get the support and tools they need to leverage the unique performance, reliability and scalability of POWER5 to deliver greater value to their individual customers."
SourcePro C++ Edition 7 update is now available for purchase and upgrade. Rogue Wave Software customers who have current support and maintenance for SourcePro C++ on Linux can request the SourcePro C++ Platform update at www.roguewave.com.
