Republic Services Q3 Profit Advances 15%

(RTTNews) - Republic Services (RSG) released earnings for its third quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $212.6 million, or $0.62 per share. This was higher than $184.7 million, or $0.53 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.58 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.0% to $2.41 billion. This was up from $2.34 billion last year.
