Republic Services Q1 Profit Rises - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Republic Services, Inc. (RSG) reported first-quarter net income to company of $172.4 million, or $0.49 per share, compared to $132.5 million, or $0.37 per share, prior year.
On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.44 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenue increased to $2.17 billion from $2.08 billion last year. Analysts expected revenue of $2.14 billion for the quarter.
Republic announced that its Board declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.28 per share for shareholders of record on July 1, 2015. The dividend will be paid on July 15, 2015.
