Red Hat Q3 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Red Hat, Inc. (RHT) reported net income for the third quarter of $47.9 million or $0.26 per share, compared to $52.0 million or $0.27 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the third quarter was $79.2 million or $0.42 per share, compared to $80.9 million or $0.42 per share in the prior year quarter.

Total revenue for the third quarter rose 15% to $455.90 million from $396.54 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.40 per share on revenue of $451.39 million for the third quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
