Radeon'R' Xpress'TM' Platform Technology Included in HP Commercial

MARKHAM, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 2005--
ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX:ATY)(NASDAQ:ATYT), today announced that Radeon(R) Xpress(TM) 200 will be the chipset platform technology for the HP dx5150, HP's latest AMD Athlon(TM) 64 processor-based commercial desktop PC. ATI's technology adds Radeon-class visual processing and broad connectivity for today's most commonly used devices and peripherals. The Radeon Xpress 200 also delivers built-in support for PCI Express, DirectX 9 graphics and AMD's (NYSE: AMD) 64-bit processors, helping to enable support of the latest operating systems and applications and, in turn, give customers investment protection.
With built-in dual monitor support, the Radeon Xpress 200 platform allows users to easily connect a second display and extend their desktop for improved multi-tasking and application management. In addition, IT managers benefit from ATI's unified driver architecture, which enables a stable and consistent software image across multiple platforms.
