Questar Swings To Q3 Profit, Boosts 2014 Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Questar Corp. (STR) Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $38.6 million or $0.22 per share, compared to a net loss of $19.2 million or $0.11 per share in the prior-year quarter, which included a non-cash impairment charge of $0.29 per share.

On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.18 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues for the quarter increased to $157.9 million from $149.6 million last year, while analysts expected revenues of $145.05 million.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2014, Questar raised earnings guidance to a range of $1.25 to $1.30 per share from the prior forecast in the range of $1.18 to $1.28 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year 2014 earnings of $1.19 per share.
