(NASDAQ: CMVT), and the world's leading supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communication services, today announced that Greek mobile operator Q-TELECOM has selected Comverse's Converged Real-Time Billing Solutions along with its Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC) and Mobile Data Gateway (MDG) to enable service delivery and real-time billing capabilities for voice and data services, including Multimedia Messaging and SMS text messaging. Q-TELECOM can now offer its full portfolio of services to both pre- and post-paid subscribers, enabling a potential reduction in revenue leakage and operational expenses.
    With Comverse's Converged Real-Time Billing Solutions, Q-TELECOM benefits from a single billing platform for all of its subscribers -- mobile prepaid and post-paid, as well as fixed customers. This state-of-the-art system supports the latest standards-based technologies, such as CAMEL II, supporting Q-TELECOM's service strategy with a wide variety of flexible and cost-effective billing and promotional schemes.
    Using Comverse's real-time expertise, Q-TELECOM can take advantage of advanced promotional and tracking tools to help increase service uptake. They will be able to offer their customers features including hybrid pre- and post-paid rate plans, up-to-date statements of account usage, and personalized incentive offers.
    In addition, with Comverse's MMSC implementation fully integrated with real-time billing, Q-TELECOM will be able to ensure full access to MMS services by prepaid users.
