PTC Provides Disaster Relief to Tsunami Victims; Massachusetts Software Company to Match Employee Donations to Habitat for Humanity

    NEEDHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 2005--PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), the Product Development Company(TM), today announced it has created a Tsunami Victims Fund to provide support for rescue and reconstruction efforts taking place in Southern Asia. PTC has pledged to match employee contributions worldwide and plans to donate a minimum of $100,000. Donations from the US and Europe will be earmarked for Habitat for Humanity, donations from Asia Pac will be given to the Red Cross while donations specifically from India will sent to their official government endorsed national relief effort.
    With over 500 employees in the affected region, including India, Singapore and Malaysia, many of PTC's employees in India have donated a day's salary to the Victims Fund. With as many as five million people left without shelter in Southern Asia, Habitat for Humanity is leading the rebuilding efforts and has been named an approved tsunami aid agency by President George W. Bush.
