PriceSmart Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - PriceSmart Inc. (PSMT) Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $18.54 million or $0.61 per share, up from $15.71 million or $0.52 per share in the same period last year.

On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.64 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues improved to $571.72 million from $505.33 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $568.33 million.

Net warehouse club sales totaled $555.82 million, up from $494.75 million last year. Export sales increased to $6.22 million from $2.77 million last year.
