Precision Software Enables Visible Global Transportation from a Single System
Precision Software, a division of QAD Inc. (NASDAQ:QADI), today
announced the latest expansion of its leading-edge global trade and
transportation management solution, Precision TRAXi3, which was
previewed recently at Precision's user's conference, Global Exchange
2007 in Chicago.
Precision’s latest software release provides
an enterprise scope solution for both production and non-production
environments. The addition of a new web-based supply chain visibility
portal and a new web-based non-production desktop shipping portal
enables companies to reduce inventories and streamline shipping
practices by making more effective decisions about the movement of goods
and materials within the boundaries of the company and across the supply
chain.
Precision TRAXi3 builds on the solution’s
extensive capabilities for multi-carrier parcel and freight shipping,
global trade management and freight audit with additional tracking,
reporting, screening and optimization of multi-modal and multi-carrier
shipments. Built on a single platform, the new version leverages its
integrated capabilities for both the heavy duty shipper and the
infrequent user with OnPremise, OnDemand and OnAppliance deployment
options.
"Over the years our business has transformed
into one of global presence, with daily shipping requirements throughout
North and South America, as well as Asia, Australia, and Europe,”
said Connie Glogowski, Senior Project Manager at Pioneer Balloon
Company. "We’re
excited about the multi-carrier shipping capabilities; utilizing
carriers we’re all familiar with to manage our
imports and exports as well as the ad hoc shipping requirements of our
corporate staff for samples and sales materials. The consolidated
information collected will give us business intelligence about how well
we manage our freight today, as well as how we can better manage our
freight tomorrow. We anticipate that this new TRAXi3 release from
Precision will deliver significant cost savings and we will have fewer
headaches.”
Greg Lloyd, Precision Software's president, said, "Precision’s
TRAXi3 version 7.0 delivers on our vision to provide shippers with a
single global system to manage their supply chain activity. With this
release we are helping to simplify both production and non-production
shipping of goods on a global scale and addressing the demands for clear
visibility across the supply chain to control costs. The latest
enhancements to the suite ensure that our customers benefit from
effective cost management of carriers and goods, both within their
organization and across their entire global supply chain."
Precision’s TRAXi3 Version 7.0 workflow-based
and rules-driven engine allows customers to build the system according
to their unique business processes, ensuring that every shipment follows
'best practice'.

Note to QAD Investors:
This press release contains certain forward-looking statements made
under the "safe harbor”
provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. A
number of risks and uncertainties could cause actual results to differ
materially from those in the forward-looking statements. These risks
include, but are not limited to, evolving demand for the company's
software products and products that operate with the company's products;
the company's ability to sustain license and service demand; the
company's ability to leverage changes in technology; the company's
ability to sustain customer renewal rates at current levels; the
publication of opinions by industry and financial analysts about the
company, its products and technology; the reliability of estimates of
transaction and integration costs and benefits; the entry of new
competitors or new offerings by existing competitors and the associated
announcement of new products and technological advances by them; delays
in localizing the company's products for new or existing markets; the
ability to recruit and retain key personnel; delays in sales as a result
of lengthy sales cycles; changes in operating expenses, pricing, timing
of new product releases, the method of product distribution or product
mix; timely and effective integration of newly acquired businesses;
general economic conditions; exchange rate fluctuations; and, the global
political environment. In addition, revenue and earnings in the
enterprise resource planning (ERP) software industry are subject to
fluctuations. Software license revenue, in particular, is subject to
variability with a significant proportion of revenue earned in the last
month of each quarter. Given the high margins associated with license
revenue, modest fluctuations can have a substantial impact on net
income. Investors should not use any one quarter's results as a
benchmark for future performance. For a more detailed description of the
risk factors associated with the company and the industries in which it
operates, please refer to the company's Annual Report on Form 10-K for
fiscal 2007 ended January 31, 2007.
