(RTTNews) - Gainers:
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCAU) is rising 4 percent to $15.11 as the company's second quarter net profit surged 69 percent from the year-ago quarter. Adjusted net profit more than doubled from the prior year period, while net revenues increased 25 percent. The company also revised upwards its full-year guidance.
Cigna Corp. (CI) is gaining 1 percent to $147.19 as its second quarter earnings as well as consolidated revenues were higher than in the year-ago quarter.
Synergy Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SGYP) is jumping 15 percent to $9.42 following the announcement of positive top-line results from the second of two pivotal phase 3 clinical trials evaluating two different plecanatide treatment doses.
Decliners:
Procter & Gamble Co. (PG) is falling 2 percent to $78.80. The company's fourth quarter earnings declined from the year-ago quarter, while its core earnings per share topped Street view. Net sales decreased nine percent driven by a negative nine percentage point impact from foreign exchange. The company also forecast fiscal 2016 core earnings per share to be slightly below to up mid-single digits.
Facebook, Inc. (FB) is down 2 percent to $94.44. The company's second quarter earnings declined 9 percent from the year-ago quarter, as higher costs and expenses more than offset 39 percent increase in revenue. Meanwhile, earnings per share, excluding items and revenue topped Street view.
Whole Foods Market, Inc. (WFM) is falling 11 percent to $36.10 as the company's third quarter results were below analysts' expectations. The company also forecast fourth quarter results below estimates.
Stratasys Ltd. (SSYS) is plunging 20 percent to $29.25. The company's second quarter net loss widened sharply from the year-ago quarter, while its non-GAAP earnings per share matched Street view. The company also withdrew its previously delivered full year 2015 financial guidance, due to limited visibility regarding the timing of improvements in growth. At the same time, the company provided third quarter guidance sharply below analysts' projections.
