    LETTERKENNY, COUNTY DONEGAL, Ireland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 24, 2005--The Great Place to Work Institute Ireland has named Pramerica Systems Ireland Limited, a Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE:PRU) subsidiary, one of the best companies to work for in Ireland, it was announced today.

    The Great Place to Work Institute's study of the 'Best Companies to Work for in Ireland' is a comprehensive annual survey that identifies and recognises the finest employers and the most satisfied workforces in Ireland and throughout the European Union. Participating organisations are evaluated using an employee survey and a questionnaire that examine the companies' corporate cultures. A random selection of employees in each participating organisation completed a confidential survey rating their employers on almost 60 elements, covering credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie in the workplace.
    The 50 winners were selected based on the scores achieved on both the employee survey and the company questionnaire. Employees' opinions counted for two-thirds of the final score. This year, nearly 13,000 randomly selected employees from more than 100 candidate companies completed surveys.
    The winners were announced at a ceremony Wednesday night in Dublin's Clontarf Castle, attended by Micheal Martin, TD, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.     The Best Companies to Work For annual labour force survey is part of an initiative started by the European Commission in 2003 in order to recognise and reward best workplace practices. Identical studies are carried out in 15 EU States.
