Polypore Closes Sale Of Separations Media Business Segment

(RTTNews) - Polypore International Inc (PPO) on Wednesday said it has closed the sale of its Separations Media business segment to 3M Co (MMM).

The company also announced the closure of its acquisition by Asahi Kasei Corp; Polypore will now operate as a core operating company of the Asahi Kasei Group.

Polypore and Asahi Kasei will work together to integrate their technology and expertise to maximize synergies that will enable further development and growth of the battery separator business.

Polypore develops specialized microporous membranes for the use in separation and filtration processes.
