Polo Ralph Lauren Announces Executive Appointments to Support Global Supply Chain Initiatives

Prior to this promotion, Mr. Smith was Senior Vice President ofSupply Chain, Europe and was based in Geneva where he was responsiblefor Polo Ralph Lauren's European logistics operations and newstate-of-the-art facility in Parma. Mr. Smith now will haveresponsibility for Polo Ralph Lauren's North American supply chainoperations and will be based in Greensboro, NC. Mr. Smith bringsextensive industry expertise to his new position combining experiencefrom his previous role at Polo Ralph Lauren with senior levelpositions in both the wholesale channel and third party logistics. Mr.Smith was instrumental in the consolidation of the Company's Europeandistribution centers into one central distribution center in Parma,Italy. Mr. Smith has prior experience in the wholesale channel as theHead of Logistics at Selfridges in the UK and with third partylogistics providers with P&O Trans European and Salvesen Logistics.
Prior to her promotion, Ms. Mitchell was Vice President of SupplyChain Business Process Integration as the project manager for theintegration and execution of a global wholesale information systemincorporating forecasting, replenishment, sourcing, allocation andshipping. In addition, she was also responsible for vendor-managedinventory programs across all divisions.
Ms. Mitchell joined Polo in 2001 as Vice President of WholesaleReplenishment for Polo Brands, responsible for managing all aspects ofour Men's wholesale replenishment business. Before joining Polo, Ms.Mitchell spent five years with McKinsey & Company, Inc., managing andleading consulting project teams in the retail and apparel industries.
Mr. Rush joins Polo Ralph Lauren on November 29, 2005 and he willbe responsible for Polo Ralph Lauren's supply chain design andarchitecture and new business integration. He will be based inGreensboro, NC. Mr. Rush's career highlights span 19 years in theretail, consumer products, direct marketing and e-commerce industries,which are characterized by the implementation of innovative solutionsthat frequently become industry benchmarks. He has extensiveexperience in developing logistics strategies, facility and systemsdesigns, implementation and start up of state-of-the-art distributioncenters as well as the implementation of merchandise flow processes.Most recently, Mr. Rush led KSA's supply chain execution practice inEurope from 2000 to 2004.
