JACKSON, Mich., Oct. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Plexus Technology Group, LLC (Plexus TG), a market-leading, best-of-breed provider of anesthesia information management systems (AIMS), is pleased to announce a new product in the Anesthesia Touch™ product family connecting anesthesia and pharmacy—Pharmacy Connect. Pharmacy Connect integrates medication carts with Anesthesia Touch to provide real-time medication reconciliation reminders and enhanced billing and reporting data.

Pharmacy Connect enables Anesthesia Touch's medication cart features to work with any medication cart over a standard interface. With Pharmacy Connect, real-time medication reconciliation features are available for anesthesia and enhanced drug administration billing data. Once connected, controlled substances dispensed and returned appear in Anesthesia Touch in real-time, reminding clinicians to document administration and waste. Anesthesia Touch also reminds clinicians about controlled substances with no associated dispenses and allows recording of waste documentation directly at the iPad.

Pharmacy Connect requires an interface from the facility's medication cart system to the Anesthesia Touch platform. It works in conjunction with the Anesthesia Touch platform to provide Active Directory integration and work with other important tools in the operating room, like safe label systems.
