Planar's Quarterly Results Announcement Scheduled for January 19

    BEAVERTON, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 2005--Planar Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:PLNR), a worldwide leader in flat-panel display systems, is scheduled to announce results of the first quarter of its fiscal 2005 on Wednesday, January 19, 2005.
    Results of the quarter ended December 31 are scheduled to be disclosed in a press release at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, followed by a conference call at 5 p.m. Eastern, on January 19. Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Balaji Krishnamurthy, Chief Operating Officer Steve Buhaly and Chief Financial Officer Scott Hildebrandt will conduct the call.
