Pitney Bowes Introduces DM Infinity(TM) Series Roll-Up System
STAMFORD, Conn., June 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pitney Bowes Inc. today introduced the DM Infinity(TM) Series Roll-Up System for Banking Applications, its latest release in a family of high speed digital mailing solutions for production mail applications. With just three weeks of customer testing, the DM Infinity(TM) Series Roll-Up System has shown more than a 4% postage savings for targeted demand deposit account (DDA) applications in the banking industry.
Designed for enterprises with an immediate need to drive more performance and cost-effectiveness from their existing non-Pitney Bowes inserters, the DM Infinity(TM) Series Roll-Up System features include:
-- Weigh-on-the-Fly(TM) software technology, which eliminates the costly guesswork associated with legacy software that can overestimate postage. This enables mailers to weigh and apply the correct postage in real-time for each DDA mail piece, realizing significant bottom line savings. -- Reset-on-the-Fly(TM) technology that meters mixed weight mail with a single system at faster speeds. -- High performance, enabling it to accurately weigh, rate and digitally meter up to 7,200 mail pieces per hour. -- Increased mail throughput from greater system reliability, fewer jams and outsorts. -- Immediate compliance with the USPS digital meter migration mandate.
"The DM Infinity(TM) Series Roll-Up System is a must-have for financial institutions who want to save significant money on postage and increase productivity and do it now," said Pat Brand, vice president, Global Strategy, Product Management and Marketing for Pitney Bowes' Document Messaging Technologies division. "Our first banking customer to install the Roll-Up System as an upgrade to their existing DDA system immediately began to realize postage savings averaging at least $4,500 per month per system -- a savings of over 4%. Thanks to a combination of Pitney Bowes' unique Weigh-on-the-Fly(TM) technology, in conjunction with our high speed, resettable DM Infinity(TM) Series meter, the DM Infinity(TM) Series Roll-Up System delivers the 'one-two punch' that our customers are looking for: greater productivity and significantly reduced postage costs."
Along with the recently introduced DM Infinity(TM) Series Digital Mailing System, the DM Infinity(TM) Series Roll-Up System is another Pitney Bowes solution that helps high-volume mailers achieve immediate compliance with the USPS(R) digital meter migration mandate.
Demonstrations of the DM Infinity(TM) Series Roll-Up System are available at the Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies Open House, being held June 14-15, 2005 in Danbury, Connecticut.
