Photronics Results Surpass Estimates

(RTTNews) - Imaging technology solutions provider Photronics Inc (PLAB) on Tuesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $12.1 million or $0.17 per share compared with $4.2 million or $0.07 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were $131.7 million compared with $124.9 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.11 per share on revenues of $130.4 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

"High-end flat panel display sales led by increased demand for AMOLED photomasks helped us achieve revenues near the high end of our expectations for the quarter," said CEO Peter Kirlin.
