Peter D. Costa to Build C&I Banking Team South of Boston for Brookline Bank

BROOKLINE, Mass., July 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Peter D. Costa has joined Brookline Bank's Commercial Banking Group as Senior Vice President reporting to Division Executive, William MacKenzie. Costa will be building a team of middle market C&I bankers and managing a new lending office to be located south of Boston.

Prior to joining Brookline Bank, Costa held leadership positions in C&I lending at leading financial institutions covering southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  Additionally, Costa established a private banking group for Bank Rhode Island, now a subsidiary bank of Brookline Bancorp.

Costa received a BS Degree in Industrial Relations/Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master's Degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.  While at Georgetown, Costa worked in the United States Senate as a Legislative Correspondent.  He holds various security licenses to support his broad based banking experience and capital raising advisory.  He has served on numerous boards and commissions including most recently the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School, the University Club and the Rhode Island Country Club.
