Pegasystems Chief Information Officer Jo Hoppe Named Finalist for the 2007 Mass Technology Leadership Council ''CIO of the Year''

(NASDAQ: PEGA), the leader in Business Process Management (BPM), today announced that Chief Information Officer Jo Hoppe has been named as a finalist for the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council’s annual Technology Leadership Awards in the "CIO of the Year” category. The Mass Technology Leadership Council’s Technology Leadership Awards honor Massachusetts companies and individuals who best exemplify leadership and excellence in business and technology. Unlike most technology awards, the Technology Leadership Awards recognize outstanding achievement in both the development and deployment of information technologies that address critical business issues. As CIO of Pegasystems, the leader in business process management (BPM) software, Ms. Hoppe is responsible for building enterprise class business solutions using her company’s flagship BPM product. By using BPM as the foundation for internal business process automation in her workplace, Ms. Hoppe is able to improve efficiency at her company, while evaluating Pegasystems’ solutions firsthand. She has been at Pegasystems for more than four years. Before joining Pegasystems, Ms. Hoppe held a dual role at CMGI, Inc. as CIO of all of their wholly-owned companies and as an executive vice president and CTO of uBID, CMGI's $750 million online auction and eCommerce business. Before that, she held CIO positions at Addison Wesley Longman and Houghton Mifflin Co. Ms. Hoppe was recognized with the other four finalists in her category at an awards ceremony held on July 17 and attended by the region’s top technology and business professionals.
