Paul Klein Installed as President of WateReuse California
Paul A. Klein, P.E., executive vice president of RBF Consulting (RBF), a company of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE Amex:BKR), was recently installed as president of WateReuse California, the largest section of the National WateReuse Association. The installation was held as part of the 2012 WateReuse California Conference in Sacramento.
The organization promotes the responsible stewardship of California water resources by encouraging the safe, practical and beneficial use of recycled water, and by supporting the efforts of the national WateReuse Association. As president, Klein will be leading legislative and regulatory efforts in support of expanding the use of recycled water in California, as well as continuing to create value for the members of WateReuse California. He served previously as president of WateReuse California in 2004-2005.
"As president of WateReuse California, Paul brings a long record of being an effective advocate for the beneficial use of recycled water and advancing the goals of the association,” stated Dr. David Smith, managing director of WateReuse California. "We look forward to having him again lead the association.”
Since 2003, Klein has been a member of the WateReuse California Board of Trustees and was previously a member of the national WateReuse Association Board of Directors. He also represented the WateReuse Association as a member of the Advisory Committee for the California Water Plan Update, and is past chair of the AWWA California/Nevada Recycled Water Committee.
Klein, based in the company’s Sacramento office, currently oversees the northern California operations. A featured speaker at conferences throughout the United States on recycled water, he has also been responsible for the design of recycled and potable water projects throughout California.
