PartnerRe Q3 Profit Down

(RTTNews) - PartnerRe Ltd. (PRE) Monday reported third-quarter net income of $182.2 million or $3.60 per share, down from $319.3 million or $5.84 per share last year.

The company reported operating earnings of $226.7 million or $4.47 per share, down from $311.2 million or $5.70 per share a year ago.

Total revenues for the quarter grew to $1.64 billion from $1.56 billion last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $3.66 on revenues of $1.33 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
