Orient-Express Hotels Q3 Profit Shrinks - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Orient-Express Hotels Ltd. (OEH) Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $16.1 million or $0.16 per share, down from $17.7 million or $0.17 per share in the same period last year.

Earnings from continuing operations totaled $18.5 million or $0.18 per share, up from $15.9 million or $0.15 per share. On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.13 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased 19 percent to $191.2 million from $161.0 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $176.31 million for the quarter.

Same store revenue per available room, or RevPAR, grew 20 percent in U.S dollars and 19 percent in local currency, over last year.
