Oregon Medical Group Selects INX to Provide IP Telephony Solution
INX Inc., (NASDAQ:INXI) announced today that it has a won a contract
to deploy an IP telephony solution for Oregon Medical Group in Eugene,
OR.
Oregon Medical Group ("OMG”),
a leading health care provider in the Willamette Valley, needed a
communications solution that would deliver enhanced communications by
replacing disparate phone systems to improve patient care and centralize
management. In order to meet these needs, OMG selected INX to design and
deploy a Cisco unified communications solution that leverages the
strengths of a converged voice and data architecture and enables all
communications across the same network, providing new services while
reducing capital expenditures as well as management and service-plan
costs.
The solution will replace OMG’s current aging
phone system across its 15 offices within the Eugene metropolitan area
as well as provide upgrades to the switching/routing infrastructure for
each clinic. Initial site roll out began in July 2007 after which
implementation will be phased, migrating one clinic at a time through
the 15 locations for a total of approximately 600 users. The solution
includes Cisco Unified Communications Manager 5.1, Unified Contact
Center Express 4.5, and Unity Unified Messaging 4.2.
Jym Jann, IS Manager – Network & Technical
Services for Oregon Medical Group said of the deployment, "Working
with INX to plan and implement this Cisco solution has been the most
critical part of delivering on the vision we had when we started this
project, namely, improving the overall patient experience, building the
right framework for advanced unified communications, and ensuring
business continuity, compliance and ease of management. We have had a
universally positive experience partnering with INX -- from INX’s
engineering expertise to the training and support that our users have
provided rave reviews for at each clinic that has been cutover. INX is
delivering on the success guarantees they advertised.”
Mark Wilhelm, Vice President of Sales for INX commented, "OMG
and INX are working closely together in an effort to help OMG leverage
new technology to improve the overall patient experience. This solution
addresses complex communication challenges the healthcare industry has
been facing for years. INX’s approach to
design and deployment allows OMG to harness the power of unified
communications in ways that are meaningful and strategic to healthcare
providers.”
The project was valued at approximately $600,000 in product and services
revenue for INX.
