Orbotech Q2 Profit Down - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Orbotech Ltd. (ORBK) reported that its GAAP net income for the second quarter of 2014 was $8.6 million or $0.20 per share down from $10.5 million, or $0.24 per share in the second quarter of 2013.

Non-GAAP net income for the second quarter was $10.5 million, or $0.25 per share compared to non-GAAP net income of $12.4 million, or $0.29 per share last year.

Revenues for the second quarter totaled $113.2 million, compared to $108.8 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.22 per share and revenues of $112.47 million for the quarter.

The company expects revenues for Orbotech on a stand-alone basis in thesecond half of 2014 to be approximately $260 million, with the third quarter expected to be in the range of $118 - $123 million. SPTS is expected, on a stand-alone basis under U.K. GAAP, to generate revenues of approximately $100 million in the second half of 2014.
